The warp and fill yarn shall be intimate blend. There shall be two types of broadcloth. Type 1 – The blended fiber content shall be a minimum of 50% cotton and no more than 55% cotton. The remaining fiber shall be polyester. Type 2 – The fabric content shall be 100% cotton. (ASTM D3776) Breaking Strength: Warp - 70 pounds minimum (ASTM D5034) Fill - 30 pounds minimum Shrinkage: 3% maximum in warp and fill directions after 3 industrial launderings (AATCC No. 96, Test 3A). 4.0 WORKMANSHIP AND GRADE The finished fabric shall be clean and evenly woven. All fabric shall be consistent in color. Grade shall be first quality only. Shorts of not less than 50 yards (without a seam) will be acceptable up to a maximum 3% of the total order. 5.0 PUT-UP Fabric shall be rolled on tubes in 150 yards minimum to 250 yards maximum. Tubes shall have a minimum inside diameter of 1.25”. Each roll shall be protected by heavy kraft paper, plastic or similar material. The individually wrapped rolls may then be put in cartons. Cartons or individual rolls will then be palletized and strapped. Each shipment must contain a packing list, including purchase order number |
